Suicide attempts are significantly more common in the LGBT community than with heterosexuals (3 times more likely with the LGBT youth than with the heterosexual youth), and many in the LGBT community would like to blame heterosexual culture for this, saying that society bullies and shames them. They would like to find a reason outside of themselves for the frequent triggering of suicide in their community.
But what they don’t seem to consider, or seem to want to consider, is that living a lifestyle so unnatural and contradictory to the way God has clearly revealed we are to live takes an incredible amount of energy to do. To fight so hard for so long to suppress the truth of God in their unrighteousness will no doubt have serious consequences. They are bullying their own souls to death.
Constantly and viciously searing and mangling their own conscience poisons the soul. The mind becomes so twisted, and the heart so hardened. Where God doesn’t bless, He curses, and they are joyfully living a cursed lifestyle. God’s image bearers cannot truly live joyfully apart from walking with Him in His ways.
Whatever joy the LGBT community has is too shallow for the soul. That sweetness converts to bitterness, though, so it is no wonder that suicide is much more likely.
But praise the Lord that they may be delivered, healed, and washed clean by the Lord Jesus Christ, if only they repent and believe on Jesus Christ.

It is sad that we are losing so many young people to this sinful lifestyle that goes against God’s laws of creation. One Man, One Woman, for Life.

You should not judge and hate what you don’t understand. You know why this rate is so high? They feel hatred just that you’re spewing. They feel the condemned eyes and unacceptence of “loved ones and Christians”.

We live in a culture in which gay activity is being increasingly accepted as normal. I doubt if very many gays care much about what Christians think on this subject. You are the one who doesn’t understand because you don’t know what God has said. When we tell others that such activity is wrong we are expressing love, not hate. We are trying to warn others against following a lifestyle which will lead to their being condemned to eternal punishment.
If you want to understand the Christian perspective on this subject I recommend that you read “Washed and Waiting” by Wesley Hill. Hill is a Christian who believes the Bible. He also experiences sexual attraction to others of the same sex. He has chosen not to act on his feelings but to obey God instead. You can learn more about this book here:
The worst enemies gays have are the supporters of the gay rights movement. Their efforts might leading to gays experiencing a better life now but after death we must all face God’s judgment. Here is something I written on this subject:

Perhaps you should quit missing out on opportunities to love… And let God do the judging. You’ve not returned from “heaven”, nor have you EVERY lived a second in a life of a LGBTQA+ INDIVIDUAL. IT’S ridiculous for you to believe we’re choosing this life… And don’t forget Good said no one son is greater than the other. Guess you’re going to hell too.

Warning someone he is in danger is not judging. It is in fact an expression of love, and it is something Christians are commanded to do.
The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, speak to your people and say to them, If I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and make him their watchman, and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life.
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.

I don’t understand what life is like for you but God does and he is prepared to help you live a life of obedience. You might not have any choice as to whether you experience same sex attraction but you do have a choice as to whether or not you act on that attraction. Regarding your last statement, I deserve to go to Hell, just as every other person on this planet does. God has made a way that my sins can be forgiven and I can receive eternal life as a free gift. If you want to know more about this I recommend that you read this:

This post is intended to stop the suicides by teaching gays and others what the Bible says on this subject. If you won’t believe me perhaps you will believe someone who once lived a gay lifestyle and gave it up because she came to understand God’s viewpoint of this subject.

The truth is this. You are causing suicides by shaming gays.
Scientific evidence is easy to find. But if you won’t believe facts, perhaps you will believe me. I was a gay kid in a religious tradition that believed what you espose. Since all the praying and conversation therapy wasn’t working on me, I came very close killing myself.
Now I’m mentally, physically, and spiritually thriving because I’m completely out as an adult gay man

If you are gay and reading this, here is a suicide prevention line that will actually help you. That’s because they love you exactly as you are.

Telling gays how to be saved isn’t shaming them but warning them. Everyone, whether he is gay or straight, is a sinner who deserved eternal damnation in Hell. Jesus died and rose from the dead to atone for our sins. Anyone who repents and trusts in Jesus can be forgiven.
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. You may be thriving mentally and physically because you have come out but you are still dead spiritually.
I deleted the link you gave because conversion therapy has nothing to do with what the Bible teaches. If it were possible to make a gay person straight he would still be a sinner in need of salvation.
I wonder if you really understand what the Bible says about salvation. A lot of churches don’t make the truth plain. Here is a site that explains clearly what is involved.

You don’t seem to have any respect for my religion. I respect yours until your behavior causes my young gay brothers to kill themselves. It’s proven that what you’re doing is causing young people to die. I have a problem with that.
I’ve read the Bible more than once. I just don’t believe most of it. I believe we are all part of God. I believe we all need to understand and love one another, not condemned and point fingers. But you seem to think your religious expression is more important than mine. That’s sad. It only devides us. It’s unamerican.
That fact that you deleted a link to the Trevor Project, shows that you are devoted to judging and hate, more than you are about saving young lives.
Your personal attack on me is also sad. My spiritual life is between me and God. But you seem to know better than God.

The Bible is God’s revelation about himself and how he wants us to live. It is the only way we can learn how to have our sins forgiven and receive eternal life. Any religion that denies or contradicts the Bible is inspired by Satan and will lead to eternal damnation for anyone who follows it. Do you think such a religion deserves respect?
I deleted your link because it is based on a false understanding of what Christians believe. We are not trying to convert gay people into straight people; we are trying to convert sinners into children of God. And all people, whether they are gay or straight, are sinners who need to be converted,
I have not attacked you. I have merely warned you that you have been deceived. In doing this I am simply obeying God. He wants you to know the truth so you can receive eternal life. On the other hand you seem to think you know more that God because you have refused to believe what he has told us through the Bible.
I will continue to pray that God will open your eyes to the truth.

I have read this blog and normally do not judge anyone for beliefs that are in conflict with my own. I found the blog distressing that young LGBT youngsters were taking Thier lives due to gay rights and their own community incredible. I did not see any humanity, caring or love for your fellow man. You may live your life by your faith and that’s fine. You have no right to convert any one. It is up to the individual to find God. Gay rights have improved the lives of many LGBT people. There is still a long way to go and hopefully this will help reduce the needless loss of life. Your approach will not. There are still countries where death, stoning and life in prison is the threat for loving someone. I am old enough to remember in this country the witch hunts. The prison sentences and the electro therapy treatments given to LGBT people even in the early 79s. Thanks to gay rights the youngsters don’t have to deal with this. The LGBT community is by no means perfect and can be shallow but at least it exists. Love can not be wrong or being free to be an individual can not be wrong. Total acceptance by all for anyone’s consensual sexual actions and relationships should be a matter for them. I find it hard to swallow people of faith judging others when the church has been part of some if the most horrific non consensual actions and tried to hide it. Save those in your own community and leave the young LGBT lives to be saved by those that care Purley for them and not as part of a doctorin or faith. My hope is that before I depart this life that this is a subject that dies not have to be discussed or ,defended but I very much doubt it. If one of my family were LGBT I would worry more about your type of impacts on them than Thier own community.

You are right. I don’t have the right to convert anyone. I also don’t have the ability. Only God can convert someone. But because I have been converted I am commanded to tell others how they can be converted. How can anyone find God if those who have already found him don’t tell them the way?

I agree that these practices were evil and I am glad they have ended. As bad as they were they only harmed the bodies of their victims. Today gays face a worse threat, one to their souls, and the threat comes from people who love gays and want to do good for them. They are encouraged to act on their evil desires and live a lifestyle that is contrary to God’s commands. Those who do this and refuse to repent will be judged by God and condemned to eternal punishment in Hell. Anyone who truly loves gays will warn them about this.

We are commanded to love God with all our strength and mind and to express our love by obeying him. If we disobey him because the love something or someone more we are sinning. Love can be good or bad, depending on its object.

Thank you for your reply and I respect your right to believe what you wish, however in my opinion is misguided. I am after alot of thought an atheist and have no belief in your God or any other mythical body. If I am wrong and am judged by this God and sent to Hell. This for me may be the best option as the thought of being in eternity with the hypocritical judgemental and self righteous could for me be no worse. I will carry on loving and supporting my fellow man and woman regardless if their genes. I really do wish you well just can’t agree with your views
