Is the United States a Christian nation?
Is the Unites States a Christian nation? The best way to answer that question is to look at what is happening in America and then compare that with what the Bible says.
In Roe v Wade the Supreme Court ruled that any woman who was pregnant had a right to end the pregnancy by aborting her baby. The Bible calls children a blessing from God. Read the rest of this entry
Good Muslim, bad Muslim
When police interrogate a suspect they sometimes use a technique called “good cop,bad cop.” The “bad” cop questions the suspect harshly and accused him of being guilty and refusing to cooperate. Then the “good” cop takes his turn with the suspect, showing him sympathy and sometimes even agreeing with him that the bad cop is unfair. This creates a bond of sympathy between the suspect and the good cop and can even lead to the suspect giving him the information he is after. Read the rest of this entry
Immigration and evangelism
Every year large numbers of people come to the United States looking for jobs. Because of laws restricting immigration most of these job seekers aren’t able to enter the country legally but their need is so great they come here anyway. As a result there are millions of illegal immigrants in this country and one of the major problems facing the government is what to do about them.
It is unlikely that any government leader will ever think of looking in the Bible for a solution to the problem. That is unfortunate because the Bible does have the solution.
