Let the Lord Handle It!!
Does anyone suffer from abandonment issues? Ha! I don’t suffer at all, I try to enjoy every moment of it.
I only enjoy it because these days I am mostly healed and because I know those cracks in our soul are how Jesus gets in. I sometimes joke about latch key kids, but let me tell you, my parents actually abandoned me in another state, more than a few times.
My abandonment issues kept me separate from God for obvious reasons having to do with trust issues, but also because of the message that God the Father poured out His wrath on His Son and then abandoned Him. “Father, why have you forsaken me?” And now, yayy, you too will get to be just like Jesus?
