Here is something I read on Facebook.

Actually, a person’s spiritual health is not just essential, it is most essential, in fact vital! “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36).
Now that doesn’t mean we don’t use modern medicine to deal with diseases, but your spiritual state determines where you will spend eternity. And eternity is forever and ever. This life is nothing compared to eternity:
“As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him …” (Psalm 103:15–17).
“Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes” (James 4:14).
But those who have repented of their sin and put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity with our Creator and Savior. And what happens to those who reject Christ?
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11–15).
Yes, our spiritual health is vital! A virus is ultimately not the cause of anyone’s death as sin is the cause. And that’s why we need salvation:
“if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9).
That’s the most essential, vital message for everyone.
