Here is something I read on Facebook.
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
The bigger fool says in his heart, “There is a God, but I will live as if there isn’t.”
I was this fool. I believed in God, I believed in Jesus, I knew time was short but instead of living my life to the glory of God, I lived for myself, in my sin, and love of the world.
Ecc 9:3 seemed to be my life verse;
“This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that the same event happens to all. Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead.”
So what does God do with people like me? What does He do with the hypocrite?
Well some are passed over and God gives them over to their evil hearts. They believe themselves saved but find out the truth at the judgment. Matt 7:21~23
And God will be glorified in His justice.
Yet others, are saved. Jesus died for the sin of hypocrisy. God in His mercy, goodness, and love ….quickens, grants repentance and saving faith, gives a new heart, new mind, new desires and a new will 2 Cor 5:17.
And God will be glorified in His mercy.
Sinner, whoever you are, whatever you’ve done, God’s arm is not too short to save. Jesus is a friend of sinners. In fact, He did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. If you come to Him, you will find Him to be a perfect Savior. Jesus promised that all the Father gives Him will come to Him and he who comes to Him, He will in no wise cast out.
Please do not think you are too dirty to be saved, come to Him, no fitness required, He will clean you, He will justify you, and one day He will glorify you as a trophy of His grace. Isa 55:1, Rev 21:17
It is true, the wages of sin is death and that death will come upon us all quickly but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Rom 6:23
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Turn to Christ and live!
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
